Why this doesn’t work

--

Now I am not poo pooing on positive affirmations but here is why they don’t fully work and what does work.

We only use positive affirmations when we believe we are not something. Which means we are in resistance to what we truly are and when we are in resistance we desperately need to use positive affirmations to try to convince ourselves we are that thing.

When we just know we are that thing we don’t need to work to become it, we don’t need positive affirmations because we are that thing. Does that make sense?

Let me use a simple example:

I am 6ft tall. I don’t need to look in the mirror everyday and remind myself I am 6ft tall. I just am.

I am love. I don’t need to look in the mirror everyday and remind myself I am love. I just am.

What you resist persists? You are resisting the truth that you are value, worth, freedom, love, etc.

Therefore you need to persistently affirm what you think you are.

Here is what does work: became aware of everything you are not that you think you are and remove it.

If you think you are not valuable, remove that idea. Because you are value. If you think you don’t matter, remove that idea. Because you matter.

“The sculpture is already complete within the marble block, before I start my work. It is already there, I just have to chisel away the superfluous material.” ― Michelangelo

You don’t need to prove what you already are. You just need to disprove what you are not.

Much Love & Light,
