Stop taking it personally- its not about you
Many of us struggle to deflect the words and actions of others. We accept the daggers instead of realizing that the daggers are not for us or about us.
We do a disservice to us and to others when we think the daggers are about us. The daggers are an expression of their pain. They are literally showing you their pain.
When we stop taking it personally then we open up to the possibility of finding compassion for the other.
Now that doesn’t mean we don’t have boundaries when daggers are being thrown. It’s our responsibility to keep ourselves safe. We can find compassion from behind our boundaries.
In my humble opinion, this is what the world needs more of.
